Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Hydrating Gel Skin Tint is a weightless gel base formula that delivers buildable light coverage with a natural dewy finish while keeping skin breathable and moisturized. I like wearing skin tints because most contain skincare benefits along with coverage. I was excited when this launch came out because this formula provided the comfortable wear and less melting smudges I wanted especially in warm summer weather.

Clean formulated with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, squalane, aloe water, & blue agave extract. Hydrates, smooths skin, and keeps skin tint from fading or creasing on skin. A good option that doesn’t feel heavy or cakey vs traditional foundation. This skin tint comes in 15 shades. I am using shade 5 (light neutral) in this review.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Hydrating Gel Skin Tint is packaged in a 1 oz / 35 mL plastic squeeze tube. While I appreciate the ease of application I have to be extra careful since this tube tends to have product oozing out non-stop when the cap is removed. If I’m on an airplane, I put tape around the tube to prevent the product from exploding in my bag. Shade 5 is my everyday go to shade however with a summer tan I’ll have to go up a shade or get a darker shade and mix with Shade 5. It doesn’t bother me since I’m always mixing shades when I have a tan.
I like this formula and the texture is not thin or thick. Blends out easy with a dense packed makeup brush, a slightly damp sponge, or tapping into skin with fingers. With this formula, using less is better during the application and then go back and build up where I need more coverage. This does a great job on covering up redness and smoothing out uneven skin tone. It gives a nice blur effect, great coverage, and doesn’t feel heavy on skin.

When I need something light and natural looking for the weekend or the summer heat, this is the one I reach for. I am very happy I tried it! It stays on for a whole day without any fading or creasing and sometimes use a setting spray over this on days when I’m out and about in the sun. A little product goes along ways and if I apply too much I just use a dry sponge and press the area to remove excess. If you are not a fan of traditional foundation, need something for summer weather, and want skincare benefits this is a good option.
