Especially if you have angry to sensitive skin since it penetrates the skin much more slowly. This slow absorption may mean that it feels less irritating to the skin than other AHAs.
Mandelic Acid is also antibacterial and anti-inflammatory in treating acne and congested skin. Other key ingredients include: centella asiatica for cell turnover, vitamin B5 (panthenol) to moisturize, and beta-glucan for soothing redness. Ideal for all skin types for this mild acid and does not damage your skin barrier or sensitize skin.

By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water is packaged in a 120mL / 4.1oz dark plastic bottle. Mandelic Acid is light sensitive so you will usually see this in some type of dark packaging. There isn’t really any scent to it which is great for me. This has a clear watery viscosity and goes onto my face after double cleansing. I can apply this directly to skin or use a cotton pad to apply.
I have normal to dry sensitive skin and using this every other day or 2-3 times a week works just fine for me. It has helped with diminishing blemishes so they dry out and flake off, lightened up dark spots slightly, smoother skin, and balanced out skin tone. I experienced no tingling, burning, or irritation to the skin as compared to other exfoliants that I’ve used.
Overall, I enjoyed this product and will continue to incorporate into my skincare routine. This contains a low concentration of mandelic acid you have to be consistent in its use over time before you see results. It is non-drying since it contains hydrating and soothing ingredients. This will be your HG if you have sensitive skin and cannot tolerate strong acids but want the effectiveness from glycolic acids.
