I’ll be honest here, when I heard that word “water primer” in the Kaja Beauty Blur Drop Weightless Water Primer, I was hooked. Mostly because I associate water with skincare and it should be able to hydrate skin fairly well especially if you are calling it a water primer.

I have found this water primer to be friendly for those who have normal to dry skin. One pump is all you need to cover your entire face. With the texture feeling like a skincare serum, it spreads easily on skin and fills in all the pores giving it a nice blurred effect.

It absorbs fairly quickly and doesn’t sit on top of my skin. My face feels super smooth and silky. There is no shine or stickiness. Skin feels super hydrated and prepped for my makeup application. There is no pilling and keeps my makeup in place all day, even the area around my nose.

I especially love using this water primer on my eyelids. My eyes are sensitive to most eye primers causing the skin around my eyes to become very dry and flaky. This water primer is a lifesaver! It literally keeps my lids moisturized all day and doesn’t dry the skin out. I use Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer or Tatcha Silk Canvas for face.

This water primer would work best for my normal to dry skin lovelys. Note this has a silicone feel to it. I love the pump which makes it super convenient to dispense. Super affordable too. It is no longer featured on Sephora’s website but I’m sure you can still find some in-store.
