Tatcha Classic Rice Polish is one the easiest face exfoliators to use. It’s a water-activated exfoliant that turns into a creamy foam lather. This is perfect to use on my normal to dry sensitive skin when I do not want anything harsh or scratchy. With regular use it helps to reduce uneven skin texture, fine lines, and minimize pores. It is packed with anti-aging ingredients: japanese rice bran, papaya enzymes, pearl, and their signature hadasei-3 (green tea, rice, algae). Tacha reformulated this product last year to make it more creamier and pH neutral but I’m still working through the older version which it what I will sharing with you today.

Tatcha’s packaging is always beautiful and luxurious, whether it is the outer packing or the component itself. I love how this jar dispenses the product. A push back locking slider on top of the jar which reveals a small hole. The small opening prevents you from spilling incase you drop it and controls how much you are pouring out. I also own the mini size of this polish and the packaging is designed exactly as the full size. Both the full size and mini are travel friendly and will not leak due to the locking slider closure.

First thing I do is remove all of my makeup with a oil based cleanser. Once that is done, while my face and hands are wet I pour a nickel size amount of product directly into my hands. Add a few drops of water and use both hands to create a creamy lather. Once I’ve gotten the desired lather built up, massage on face for 20 seconds. If I have dry patches on my face I will focus more on those areas to ensure I get all that dead skin polished off.

It is lightweight and gentle on skin, no scratchy feeling as I massage the product. The foam rinses away easily and does not leave any film behind. Skin feels super soft and brighter. All of the dead skin has been removed and there is no feeling of tightness on my face. I did not find it irritating or drying either. Using this 2x times a week or maybe 3 now that it is winter will keep my skin feeling smooth.

Overall, this is an amazing product if you want something that is less abrasive and gentle on the skin. I’ve been working thru the older version of this jar for almost a year and I still have plenty of product left. A little goes a long ways which is why it is taking me so long to finish plus I use this on rotation with other skin exfoliators. The Classic Rice Polish is pricey but it is worth every penny. I had purchased this last year at the Sephora sale. I hope I will be able to try the new version of this when I finish up this one.

Tatcha Classic Rice Polish is available at Sephora, Nordstorm, Tatcha, and other beauty retailers.
