DRUNK ELEPHANT C-TANGO MULTIVITAMIN EYE CREAM

Hello Lovelys! I am obsessed with the Drunk Elephant line and have slowly been incorporating their products into my skincare routine. If you have been following me on Instagram before I created this online blog, 2018 was going to be the year that I will be transitioning my beauty into using products with clean non-toxic ingredients. My eyes have a love hate relationship with eye creams and eye serums because they are just too sensitive. Irritations I’ve experienced in the past, dry rashy skin, watery eyes, burning sensation, and little bumps. When I received the Drunk Elephant new multivitamin eye cream I was really excited to give this a try. Drunk Elephant calls this the love child of “C-Firma + Protini”. With the weather being so cold, I need something very moisturizing so let’s see how this will do.

C-Tango comes in the standard Drunk Elephant twist-up pump. That is one less cap I have to worry about falling into the sink or having to screw the cap back on to the bottle. Love how the product stays fresh in the vacuum container. Product stays pretty clean without double dipping. Bright orange color makes it perfectly fitting for vitamin c.

Although the texture feels super rich and creamy, C-Tango melts into skin effortlessly with just a few patting motions. It’s creaminess allows it to spread easily without rubbing, becoming lightweight once absorbed into skin. I’d say a little bit of product goes a long way here so no need to apply too much. It made my skin feel very smooth and moisturized. I apply this in the am/pm around the orbital bone to undereye and did not have any irritations. It did surprise me since anything vitamin c tends to make my skin feel uncomfortable. C-Tango really hydrated these areas making eye primers and concealers lay down very nicely on skin. No issues with pilling. This eye cream filled in the lines and creases so I did not have any concealer settling into lines. I know Drunk Elephant says they do not use silicones in their products so this is pretty good in how they got it to do this.

My eye area tends to be extremely sensitive so I am very grateful that C-Tango does not contain parabens and is unscented. With some eye creams I’ve used, I feel a tightening firming sensation upon contact, but with C-Tango I did not experience any tingling sensation. That is not to say it isn’t firming but I am seeing immediate hydration results which is what I am looking for at the moment. Firming might take a longer to see results. My eyes look brighter and under eye puffiness has reduced quite a bit in the mornings. When I say brighten, I mean it makes the skin look more refreshed as I do not have dark circles or noticeably under eye bags. It’s definitely a nice appearance to wake up to.

I am very happy that Drunk Elephant launched this product. The texture of this cream worked great on my eye area. I use different eye creams or eye serums based on seasonality changes and how my skin feels at that point in time. There isn’t a one size fits all eye cream in my opinion. Right now, my eyes are loving the hydration that this cream gives during this cold rainy season. C-Tango is on the pricey end as with the rest of the Drunk Elephant line, but you know you are paying for good quality product for a brand that stands by it’s claims of using effective non-toxic formulas in their products.

Have you tried C-Tango? What eye creams are you using that work for you?
