One of my favorite ways to detox skin is by masking with a clay mask like Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask 2x with Super Volcanic Clusters. I have been a long time fan of this Kbeauty brand and used the original version of this clay mask for years. This upgraded formula contains twice the amount of finely ground hardened volcanic lava from Jeju Island in Korea. This clay mask reduces oil production & redness, deep cleanses, and evens out skin tone.

Everything about this clay mask feels the same as the original version with the exception of more volcanic clusters. If you have troubled skin you can use it on full face, I generally use this on my t-zone, chin area, and spot treat pimples. This clay mask is unscented and does not crack as it dries down. I have normal to dry sensitive skin with oily t-zone and have not experienced any irritation from using this.

I like the cute metal jar packaging and recyclable paper packaging. Unfortunately this does not include a spatula. One thing to note after you open the jar, inside there is thin plastic cover over the opening. Do not throw that little plastic cover away. It will help seal any air from getting into the jar and avoid the clay from hardening.

With clean fingers I smear this onto t-zone or spot treat pimples. The creamy texture glides on super smooth and as it dries down during the 10 minutes my face feels comfortable. This clay mask does not dry down completely so I do not feel my skin tighten up. Rinses off easily, as you add water the little clusters act like an exfoliator.

My skin feels smooth and gunk free after each use. T-zone has seen less oil production, pores are less visible, pimples have shrunken, and uneven texture is nonexistent. There is no feeling of tightness or excessive drying. Since this is a clay mask I strongly recommend following up with a moisturizer or serum to keep skin hydrated.

Overall, this upgraded version of the clay mask feels almost about the same as the original version. It’s the most affordable and effective facial in a jar. This jar will last for a long time if you are using it once or twice a week. Everyone’s skin is different so you may need to use this a few times to gradually clear pores with regular use. I highly recommend this mask.
