Youth To The People 15% Vitamin C + Clean Caffeine Energy Serum doesn’t smell like your typical vitamin c nor does it dry out your skin. My skin always reacts badly to strong vitamin c or dries my skin out horribly. This serum felt gentle without any tingling or stinging. My complexion is pretty clear already but I like to have brighter skin tone and would like to lighten a few moderate dark spots.

This serum is packed with super antioxidants in one bottle: 15% vitamin c complex, yerba mate plant clean caffeine, and passion + dragon fruit. To visibly brighten & reduce hyperpigmentation, depuff & firm, and hydrate skin. It has a milky gel consistency instead of the more common dark yellow or orange colored vitamin c serums.

Full ingredient list:  Water/Aqua/Eau, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Propanediol, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Squalane, Triethyl Citrate, Gluconolactone, Citric Acid, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Sodium Benzoate, Lauroyl Lysine, Passiflora Edulis (Passion Fruit) Extract, Sclerotium Gum, Lecithin, Ilex Paraguariensis (Yerba Mate) Leaf Extract, Ilex Guayusa (Guayusa) Leaf Extract, Pullulan, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Mannitol, Hylocereus Undatus (Dragon Fruit) Fruit Extract, Ergothioneine, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Calcium Gluconate, Silica, Potassium Sorbate.

I like the dark amber glass bottle but the pump squirts out the serum aggressively. With that I am not able to control the amount of product coming out if I wanted to use less. I also like that it does not smell like your typical vitamin c. This has a ginger citrus scent which I find refreshing and uplifting.

Most people use vitamin c serums daily and apply to their entire face. I have sensitive skin so I tend to use vitamin c serums every other day so my skin doesn’t get sensitized. Plus, I only target the forehead, cheeks, and dark spots. I honestly do not feel the need to apply vitamin c to my entire face. To maximize the benefits, I find it more effective to apply after freshly cleansed skin followed by a light moisturizer, and no makeup on top!

This serum applies easily and is fast absorbing without being sticky. Let it dry down for a few minutes. It feels more hydrating on my skin compared to other vitamin c serums I’ve used. My face appears refreshed and more awake after application. It keeps my complexion looking bright. I like the formulation and consistency of this product. I’ve used this for about 2 months now and have noticed slight lightening of dark spots.

Overall I am enjoying the more even skin tone and brighter skin. Everyone’s skin situation is different and dependent on how often you use vitamin c serums, results will be different. If you have noticeable scars or deep hyperpigmentation you may need something stronger than this serum. The price is a bit steep so it’s going to be a splurge serum if you love the brand or like using clean formulations.
