Amore Pacific is one of the biggest conglomerates of Korean beauty and cosmetics brand in South Korea. I admire this brand and its high performance skincare products. They use the highest care in cultivating natural ingredients and traditional herbs while combining Science. Our skin can benefit from the antioxidants in these ingredients. It is often very pricey for me to buy their full size products so I try to buy mini’s or value sets whenever I can or collect samples. In this case, I used my Sephora BI points to redeem the Botanical Beauties set at Sephora.

What is it
A luxury 5-piece skin regimen infused with botanical ingredients of bamboo sap, green tea, and papaya for more radiant-looking skin.

Let’s get into the first impression review:

Treatment Cleansing Oil, 1.0 oz | I’ve received samples of this cleansing oil before and from jshopping their cushion compacts. I use it as part of my double cleanse routine. I like to apply this to dry face and massage all over. Then add a bit of water to work up a light lather. It does a great job at breaking down all of my makeup and effectively removes all of the makeup without making my skin feel tight or dry. Note this has a floral scent incase you have fragrance sensitivities. I would re-purchase this.

Treatment Cleansing Foam, 0.5 oz | This foams up quite a bit on damp skin and turns to a milky lather so I don’t need to use too much product. A pea drop is all I need. I use this after the cleansing oil for the second part of my double cleanse routine. Has a light creamy texture and washes off very easily. My skin felt very refreshed and non-drying. Didn’t notice anything special about it. It smells nice so just note there is fragrance in this too. This is not a must buy for me.

Treatment Enzyme Peel, 0.2oz | This a a powder to foam exfoliating cleanser which I need to add a bit of water to activate it. Once it lathers up, it goes on smoothly as I massaged my face. I was pleasantly surprised at how gentle it was because it doesn’t feel abrasive with gritty beads. My skin felt bright, super soft, and dry patches were gone. Parts of my skin that had uneven texture seemed to be smoothed out. I seriously feel like I went and had a facial. I would re-purchase this.

Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel, 0.27 oz | This is a oil-free light weight gel cream. Feels very cooling on my skin and absorbs easily. It is light enough for me to wear under my makeup and keeps my skin feeling hydrated. It may not be enough to use in the evening during winter months but for day wear or warm weather this would be nice. It’s supposed to improve fine lines but I haven’t used this long enough to see the results. Note, two types of parabens are on the ingredient list.

Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Eye Treatment Gel, 0.1 oz | This has a light weight water like gel texture and applies nicely onto skin. Eye makeup goes on pretty well without creasing. A good amount of hydration for day use but not hydrating enough for evening use. I do not have dark circles so I am unable to speak to it but haven’t used it long enough to see results for fine lines. Note, two types of parabens are on the ingredient list.

Overall, this is a nice little set (valued at $53 USD), thankfully I used Sephora points to redeem it. I really enjoyed using the cleansing oil and enzyme peel exfoliating powder. Although, both Moisture Bound products felt really nice, I am going to stop using them because they contain two types of parabens.

In the past, when I first started to use Kiehl’s Avocodo Eye Cream, I was unaware that it contained 3 types of parabens . After two weeks of use, the skin around my eyes were dried out and shriveled up. It took nearly two weeks for my skin to recover. It was a terrifying experience which is why I try to avoid anything containing parabens in it.
