GIVENCHY LE ROUGE LIQUIDE LIPSTICK

This is my first makeup voxbox from Influenster. I was so excited when I opened the box to find a gorgeous Givenchy lipstick inside. I love wearing lipsticks when I want to take a break from liquid lipsticks. Luckily I was sent shade #412 Grenat Alpaga, a nice red berry wine color. Unlike other lipsticks I own, the case pushes the product up like a pen. It feels very hydrating on my lips and I can build up the color.

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous! The sleek metal and black leather makes it very luxurious, what I would expect to come from luxury brand Givenchy. The lipstick casing is pretty innovative. I liked how I was able to twist up just enough product without wasting product. The applicator tip has a thin layer of foam/fuzzy felt material. With just a tiny bit of product, the foam helps glide the product across my lips easily and smoothly. It did not give me a defined precise clean shape so I need to use a lip liner and once I had that on, filling in the lip was simple. If I did not want a bold look and wanted to go for that Kbeauty look, I could apply the product with my fingers to get that korean barely there stained gradient lip effect.

The formula feels great. Very moisturizing, soft, and creamy. It contains Hyaluronic acid which helps to hydrate and nourish lips like a lip balm. It definitely felt light weight, almost like a tinted lip balm feel but the color was surprisingly pigmented. Shade #412 is a red berry color, it looked dark but once applied it looked very flattering. This is not long wearing and will come off whenever eating & drinking.

Overall, I like the innovative twist up packaging. It dispenses just the right amount of product. The application is good but the applicator may not get all the corners around the lip. If I use a lipliner, then I can pretty fill in my lips without having to use a lip brush. I love the semi-matte finish and find it moisturizing on my lips. It’s not completely long wearing so I will have to re-apply after eating. That does not bother me since touch up is easy. I am curious to try other shades in their Le Rouge Liquide collection.

Thank you Givenchy and Influenster for sending me these complimentary for testing and review. All opinions are my own.

Have you tried the Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide Lipstick?
