Lovelys I’m so excited to share with you all my first impressions review of Kaja Beauty. This new Korean Beauty brand is an exclusive collaboration between Memebox + Sephora. A HUGE thank you to Kaja Beauty, Memebox, Sephora for sending me this pr sample to try. The packaged arrived in a beautifully wrapped traditional korean bojagi. It has the cutest packaging ever! Everything looks so fun and colorful.

The brand’s beauty mantra is:

Bouncy. Breathable. Buildable. We create bite-sized beauty packed with Korean innovation that once you experience, you’ll want to share. It’s packaging as beautiful on the outside as our product is on the inside – feel-good formulas made for everyone, all skin types and skin tones.

The collection in this package includes cushion blushes, eyeshadow trios, glow highlighters, and lip stains. I’ve only had 3 days to try these out so here are my impressions.

Cheek Stamp $24 USD/ 4 shades
These stamps are so frekin cute!! It was literally the first thing my eyes gravitated to upon opening the box. This packaging is dual ended. One end has a heart shaped cushion sponge applicator, opposite end is the cushion containing the product. A good amount of product gets picked up on the heart sponge. I put one stamp on each cheek and blend with fingers. This cream to powder blended out easily leaving a semi-matte finish. The pigment reminded me of Benefit Cosmetic’s cheek & lip tints. I have fairly light skin so one stamp looked nice, definitely buildable if I wanted more color. Although the packaging is cute, this is quite bulky to carry around. Would love to have seen this in smaller compact size to as with the rest of the line.

Beauty Bento Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio $21 USD / 2 shades
Omg!! I am absolutely in love with these eyeshadows. They are shimmery without having chunks of gritty glitter. If you like shimmers, this is good choice. The pigment is incredible and they give my eye’s a pop of color without going over the top. I’ve tried using a brush and fingers. The eyeshadow texture is a bit powdery so with a brush you can experience fall outs. However, with fingers I felt it applied and adhered to skin much better without fall outs. 1-2 swirls with my finger it is more than enough product for each eye. I love the peachy bronze shades the most. The packaging is quite innovative with 3 shades stacked plus a tiny mirror. Very portable, as I can see myself easily toss ing this into my makeup bag or purse. Literally the size of a fun size Snickers candy bar.

Cushy Vibe Lip Stain $18 USD / 6 shades
I like a good lip stain when I’m not in the mood for lipstick or lipgloss. These felt very creamy and comfortable on my lips. Shades are pretty pigmented so you do not need a lot of product. If I want a full lip color, just apply directly to lips just like you would with a lipgloss. If you want a nice tint, I dotted 3 dots on my lips and blended out with fingers. With eating and drinking the color will fade but does leave behind a barely there tint that still looks good. They weren’t really drying but I do suggest a good exfoliation and lip balm prep beforehand.

Mochi Glow $19 USD / 4 shades
I love a good highlighter. With the Mochi Glow, these are light but buildable if I want my cheeks popping. The texture is bouncy solid cream to powder and dries down to a silky finish. Personally they are best applied with fingers due to its texture. A few swirls, tap onto cheeks, and blend out. I wear my highlight fairly light so I don’t need much as they do have quite a bit of shimmer in them. I can also apply to other areas of my face where I want glow. These can also double as eyeshadows if I simply want a little something on the lids.

Overall, I love the innovative compact packaging. Everything is so cute and worthy of an Instagram photo. My most favorite item of the bunch are the trio stacked eyeshadows. These offer great pigment with with just a swipe and perfect on the days when I need to quickly get out the door. So far I really enjoy using these and can’t wait to try them out longer. I hope you find my first impressions of Kaja Beauty useful and be sure to check them out at Sephora.

The full collection is available at Sephora online 9/18 and select stores 9/28.

    • The packaging is super cute! Do check out your local sephora to see if they carry so you can try swatches!

  1. Thanks so much for this review! Even though it’s pretty gimmicky to me, in the sense that there are other Korean brands with similar things already I still want it haha. Mainly the heart blusher and the shimmery trio. I’m hoping it comes in-store in my area <3

    • Ofcourse!! I do agree many brands look to each other to get inspiration to create new products, so def the idea has been around. The heart blusher & eye trio’s are my faves! I’m wondering which Sephora stores will carry
